Hannah In Montana? No... London Victoria....

Ed writes When the 2010 county season kicks off another familiar face will be missing from the SCPA set-up.
Because alongside the retirements of long-serving Surrey pool players Jason Norris and Richard Lambert, there’ll be another absentee as Hannah Edwards, the manager of Riley’s Purley Way since November 2006, will no longer be around after being promoted by the company to run their flagship club in London Victoria.
Edwards joined Riley’s in June 2005 as General Manager of the Wandle Road club in Croydon. She moved to Riley’s Purley Way with a plan to increase the number of English pool tables and attract English pool players and she quickly succeeded on both fronts.
The club won huge support from the Croydon Pool League and thanks to her hard work the club soon had six, then ten, then 16 English pool tables, plus ten teams calling the club their home venue in the Croydon League as well as three interleague teams.
It was at the start of the 2008 season that the club also became the home venue of the Surrey County Pool Association and the SCPA’s players have enjoyed the benefits of playing at a venue run by Hannah and her staff.
But, sadly, Riley’s Purley Way’s loss is London Victoria’s gain.
‘Moving to Victoria is like the end of an era for me,’ said Hannah. ‘I feel quite sad and I’m going to miss all the pool players there, particularly the ones who propped up the bar at the end of match nights.
